Economic & Community Development

The Hankinson Community Development Corporation is a non-profit organization established to:

• Promote the community and encourage the development and expansion of retail, commercial, industrial and manufacturing businesses and facilities in the City of Hankinson and surrounding area
• Work for the solution to problems of unemployment
• Help add to the tax base of the City of Hankinson by adding industry to the City
• Obtain, coordinate and to administer State and Federal grants for the development of new industry in the City of Hankinson and to use what other recognized advantages of organized action that there is or may hereafter be which will give the community of Hankinson the opportunity for prosperity and stability
• Solicit and receive donations to assist in the payment of all the expenses connected with the operation and management of community, commercial and industrial development programs; to provide information, financing and solicitation of industrial concerns which may consider location of retail, commercial, industrial and/or manufacturing facilities in the City of Hankinson

The Hankinson Community Development Corporation has for sale real estate for industrial development.  

The proposed site is described as the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 18, Township 130 North, Range 49 West, Waldo Township, Richland County, North Dakota.  It is comprised of approximately 90 acres.  The site is located within the city limits of the Hankinson. It is on the CP Rail main line, has access to North Dakota State Highway 11, and has access to water, sewer, power and telephone.
